How You Can Help Together, everything we do is for the glory of God… and together, we are reaching out and touching the lives of hundreds of individuals each and every day because you care and we care for "the least of these…" The Huntington City Mission is a nonprofit organization that is supported almost entirely by prayer, financial contributions, volunteer hours and in-kind gifts. All donations are regarded as a "sacred trust" and are handled with the greatest care. Prayer - As Christians, we know the work of the mission is actually God's work here on earth, and we are blessed each day by His presence. The reason why we have been so successful is because of the unending prayer support of many individuals and groups. Please consider lifting up the good work of the Mission in your daily prayers. Volunteer Your Time - Community volunteers are needed to prepare and serve meals, staff our clothing room and receptionist desk, perform light maintenance tasks, and conduct chapel services. We also rely on volunteers to help with our children and youth activities, child care and after-school tutoring programs. Click Here if you would like more information on volunteering. Give In-Kind Donations - We need donations of canned food and other non-perishables, paper goods, office equipment, and usable clothing for men, women, infants and children of all sizes. Personal hygiene items, linens and other household goods, used furniture and appliances in good condition also make great donations. Professional services such as pest control, maintenance and repair of equipment or vehicles, or legal, medical and accounting services would be excellent ways to help lower costs and reserve precious financial resources. Make a Financial Gift - Contributions of cash, stock, bonds, T-bills, IRAs, and life insurance policies, as well as real estate, vehicles and other personal property are all ways to support and help the Mission.
