Learning Center Still in its first year of operation, the Learning Center provides residents with the tools they need to become employable in our ever-changing economy. The primary focus of the Learning Center is to prepare residents for the world of work. For some, this means literacy training or basic remediation in math, English and writing skills. Others might need to complete coursework to earn their General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Our Learning Center also is equipped with computers and Internet access. But these systems are not simply high-tech toys. We believe that residents must be comfortable with using computers and skilled in how to access information technology if they are to make it in today's job market.   © 2001 - 2005 Huntington City Mission.
